At Scribelyn, we stand behind our service and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds of our subscription plans, token purchases, and lifetime deals.

60-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 60-day money-back guarantee for eligible purchases, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Eligible Refunds

Subscription Plans (Monthly & Annual)

You may request a full refund within 60 days of your initial subscription purchase if:

  • You have not used more than 10% of your monthly token allocation
  • You have not generated more than 5 pieces of content using our AI content generation features
  • You have not used any premium features (brand voice customization, team collaboration, etc.)
  • The refund request is made within 60 days of the original purchase date

Refund Calculation:

  • If you’ve used less than 10% of your tokens and generated fewer than 5 content pieces: 100% refund
  • If you’ve used between 10-50% of your tokens: Pro-rated refund based on unused portion
  • If you’ve used more than 50% of your tokens: No refund (service considered fully utilized)

One-Time Token Purchases

You may request a refund for token packs within 60 days of purchase if:

  • You have not used more than 10% of the purchased tokens
  • The tokens have not been used for any transcription or content generation
  • The refund request is made within 60 days of the original purchase date

Refund Calculation:

  • Unused tokens (90%+ remaining): 100% refund
  • Partially used tokens (10-50% used): Pro-rated refund for unused portion
  • Heavily used tokens (50%+ used): No refund

Lifetime Deal (LTD) Purchases

Lifetime Deal purchases are eligible for a full refund within 60 days of purchase if:

  • You have not used more than 10% of your initial token allocation
  • You have not generated more than 10 pieces of content
  • You have not activated any premium features
  • The refund request is made within 60 days of the original purchase date

Note: Once a Lifetime Deal refund is processed, you will lose access to all lifetime benefits and cannot repurchase the same LTD offer.

Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  1. Used Services: Any transcription minutes, content generation, or premium features that have been consumed
  2. Affiliate Commissions: Payments made to affiliates are non-refundable
  3. Processing Fees: Any third-party payment processing fees (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) are non-refundable
  4. Violations: Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service are not eligible for refunds
  5. Expired Refund Period: Requests made after 60 days from the original purchase date

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Support: Send an email to refunds@scribelyn.com with:

    • Your account email address
    • Order number or transaction ID (from Stripe receipt)
    • Reason for refund request
    • Date of original purchase
  2. Verification: Our support team will verify your account status, usage statistics, and eligibility within 2-3 business days

  3. Processing: If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days

Refund Processing Time

  • Review Period: 2-3 business days to verify eligibility
  • Processing Time: 5-10 business days after approval
  • Total Timeline: Typically 7-13 business days from request to refund

Note: Refund processing times may vary depending on your payment method and financial institution.

Subscription Cancellations

Canceling Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will:

  • Stop all future billing cycles
  • Allow you to continue using the service until the end of your current billing period
  • Not automatically trigger a refund (you must request a refund separately if eligible)

Refund vs. Cancellation

  • Cancellation: Stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period
  • Refund: Returns money for the current or past billing period (subject to eligibility)

Partial Refunds

In cases where partial usage has occurred, we calculate refunds based on:

  • Unused tokens as a percentage of total tokens purchased
  • Unused subscription time remaining in the current billing period
  • Content generation usage (number of pieces created vs. allowed)

Chargebacks and Disputes

If you file a chargeback or dispute with your payment provider instead of contacting us directly:

  • We will investigate the dispute and provide evidence of service delivery
  • Chargebacks may result in immediate account suspension
  • We encourage you to contact us first at refunds@scribelyn.com to resolve issues amicably

Special Circumstances

Technical Issues

If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using the service:

  • Contact support immediately at support@scribelyn.com
  • We will work to resolve the issue within 48 hours
  • If the issue cannot be resolved and significantly impacts service usability, we will offer a full refund regardless of usage

Service Downtime

If Scribelyn experiences extended downtime (more than 24 consecutive hours) during your subscription period:

  • We will automatically extend your subscription period to compensate
  • If you prefer a refund, contact us within 7 days of the downtime incident

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of Scribelyn after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
